The Camping and Caravanning Club are once again celebrating our community’s love of the great outdoors during National Camping and Caravanning Week (28 May-1 June).
This year, the Club are backing the British Mountaineering Council’s ‘Mend our Mountains’ campaign to raise £1m for path repairs in the UK’s 15 National Parks. Those who love Britain’s hills, mountains and landscapes are being asked to donate to help support the bridleways, paths and bridges they use when escaping to the countryside!
With walking considered to be the number one activity when camping or caravanning, the Club has come up with a series of routes near their sites. Helpfully, you can even download the walk route to print out and take with you, or save it on your GPS-enabled mobile device thanks to the app ViewRanger.
After all that fresh air, you’ll be looking forward to a comfy night’s sleep back at base; but with summer temperatures soaring, drifting off is easier said than done!
Duvalay have come up with an innovative solution: cooling FreshTec foam that fights heat retention and circulates cooling air for a fresher night’s sleep. Available in both our Duvalay Sleeping Bags and Duvalay Travel Toppers, FreshTec foam also provides amazing pressure relief to soothe aching joints and ease a bad back – helping your body to recover after a long walk.
The average head weighs up to 12lbs, which is the equivalent of a medium-sized bowling ball or a three-month-old baby! When walking, it should be positioned evenly over your shoulders, but rarely is – leading to strained neck muscles and ligaments. Sleeping on your back or side can help, but to reduce pain for a better night’s sleep, Duvalay’s Contoured Neck Pillow combines pressure-free support with an ergonomic shape.
Sleep in style
Ultimately, the best reward for a hard day’s walking is to sleep in glamping-style accommodation! Duvalay’s Sleeping Bags and Travel Toppers are luxuriously comfortable and perfect for everything from yurts, treehouses and shepherds’ huts to tipis, log cabins and Gypsy caravans!
